SMS Program Information

CrewHero operates a recurring, non-promotional operational text-messaging program for CrewHero users and team members who have directly opted in.

Messages may include account activity notifications, replies and mentions, schedules, assignments, maintenance or support-ticket updates, safety notices, operational announcements, and closed group messages exchanged with other members of a CrewHero team.

CrewHero is the sender and operator of the SMS program. Team, channel, and individual names may appear as context within a CrewHero message. Customer teams may not use the program for marketing, lead generation, or messaging people outside the applicable CrewHero team.

How Consent Works

Only the owner or authorized user of a mobile number may consent to receive CrewHero text messages. A manager, employer, or other person cannot opt in on someone else’s behalf.

SMS consent is optional. It is not a condition of purchasing CrewHero, creating or maintaining an account, joining a team, employment, or using non-SMS CrewHero features. Providing a phone number does not by itself constitute consent.

Users may opt in directly in the following ways:

1. CrewHero Signup

When creating an account at https://my.crewhero.app/signup, a user may select a separate, optional, unchecked SMS consent box.

2. CrewHero Profile Settings

A user may opt in when adding or changing their own mobile number in CrewHero profile settings. The SMS consent box is separate, optional, and unchecked by default.

A manager may store a team member’s phone number, but that number cannot receive messages under this program until its owner directly opts in.

3. SMS Keyword

A user may opt in or re-enroll after an opt-out by texting START to a CrewHero messaging number.

The consent disclosure presented to users reads:

“I agree to receive recurring operational text messages from CrewHero, including account notifications and messages exchanged with members of my CrewHero team about schedules, assignments, tickets, and operational updates. Message frequency varies. Account notifications are typically sent zero to ten times per week; team-message frequency depends on participant activity and may include multiple messages per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.”

CrewHero records the mobile number, consent method, exact disclosure presented, language, and date and time of consent.

What Messages You May Receive

Message types include:

Account activity, replies, and mentions
Shift schedules and schedule changes
Work assignments
Maintenance and support-ticket updates
Time-clock reminders
Safety alerts and weather notices
Operational announcements
Closed group messages exchanged with members of a CrewHero team

Representative messages include:

“CrewHero Notification: [Dave] replied to your message in [Dispatch]. View it in CrewHero: https://my.crewhero.app/messages. Reply STOP to opt out.”
“CrewHero Notification: Ticket [TK-1042] changed to [Scheduled]. View details in CrewHero: https://my.crewhero.app. Reply STOP to opt out.”
“CrewHero • [Team name] • [Dave] in [Dispatch]: What do you think about moving tomorrow’s start time to 7:30 AM? Reply to post in CrewHero. Reply STOP to opt out.”
“CrewHero Notification: You were assigned to [Crew 3] for [August 5]. View your assignment in CrewHero: https://my.crewhero.app. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Account and operational notifications are typically sent zero to ten times per week. Closed team-message frequency varies with participant activity and may include multiple messages per day.

CrewHero does not send promotional or marketing text messages through this program.

How to Opt Out

You may stop receiving CrewHero text messages at any time:

Reply STOP to any CrewHero message.
Update available SMS preferences in CrewHero.
Email support@crewhero.app.

After replying STOP, you may receive one final confirmation message. CrewHero will not send additional recurring messages unless the number owner directly opts in again. Reply START to re-enroll.

Opting out will not affect your employment or access to non-SMS CrewHero features.

Privacy and Data Protection

CrewHero uses mobile information only to provide account notifications and operational messaging.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties.

CrewHero may provide a mobile number to its SMS delivery provider solely as necessary to deliver requested messages. CrewHero does not sell or rent mobile information.

Message Costs and Delivery

CrewHero does not charge a separate fee for participating in the SMS program. Message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier and mobile service plan.

Delivery depends on wireless carrier networks and other systems outside CrewHero’s control. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
